another thing I found out last week
As mentioned previously, the thing that's always bothered me about Kaiser Fresno is their habit of answering every question I have with a condescending, "Oh, don't worry about that." I guess that's their way of saying they don't know the answer--treat me like an idiot.

About six months ago I went in for a checkup to make sure everything was good to go for getting pregnant, and they were like, "Um, why do you want a physical now? Get pregnant first and then call us. That'll be ten dollars." So then last week after looking at all my test results they say, "Now, did you realize you're not immune to chicken pox? You'll have to be very careful because you can't be immunized until after you deliver." I said, "Well, that would have been a good thing to find out before I conceived, don't you think?" Then the kicker: they hand me THEIR OWN pamphlets that say I should schedule a complete physical before becoming pregnant. Too late now!

The funny thing is, I had the chicken pox vaccine about 10 years ago (hmmm... administered by Kaiser. Mebbe that explains it!). I guess it didn't take.
