New day care
Took Cameron over to his new day care today to drop off the paperwork and to have a half-day trial (9am-12:30pm) as per their request. He had a grand time. We came to pick him up and found him straddling the five-year-old. Sammy was very patient and seemed to enjoy the attention. Too bad he is off to kindergarten in the fall -- though I suppose the novelty of playing with a two-year-old would wear off. Albert and Martha fed him lunch and everything ("He's a good eater!" they exclaimed. Spaghetti, peas, chicken, fruit, and milk. Given my first impression, I was gratified that they served peas). Dunno whether they will expect us to pay for today, but as of now we haven't given them a dime.

He starts for real on Monday. He'll be going three days a week (MWF). Next week he'll be setting a record because he also has his last day at Debbie's on Thursday.

I think we are really going to like them. It will be good for Cameron to be around older kids. They all seem really happy, which is a good sign (turns out there will be more than just the two kids I mentioned in my previous post. Two older girls, a one-year-old and, for the fall only, twin babies, in addition to Cameron. I think this is grand. Five to ten kids seems like the perfect size to me). I only wish Martha were going to be there the whole time. Maybe the kids are just as happy when it's just Albert, who knows. Well, as long as he knows CPR and keeps the kids from killing each other I suppose it will be all right.
